The Knickerbocker Mansion Country Inn is nestled on two-plus acres just three blocks from the village of Big Bear and four blocks from Big Bear Lake.

The historic, rustic log, main lodge was built in 1920 by William Knickerbocker, the first Big Bear Lake Damkeeper, as a private home for his family. The interior of the Knickerbocker Mansion is warm, cozy and historic.

While the feeling is much more elegant than when the Knickerbocker family lived in the house, it still has the original rustic charm and ambiance. A two-course gourmet breakfast is selected and prepared each day by Chef Thomas.

Bistro at the Mansion is open for Saturday night dining, offering a menu to please the most discerning tastes.
