Experience turn-of-the-century charm by the sea at the Santa Barbara Old Yacht Club Inn. The original served as the Santa Barbara Yacht Club during the roaring 1920's. The Inn opened in 1980 as Santa Barbara's first bed and breakfast.
Located within a block of beautiful East Beach, the Inn is housed in two historic homes. It was expanded with the addition of the Hitchcock House next door in 1983.
Both homes are comfortably furnished with antiques, Oriental rugs, colorful fabrics and wallpapers that capture the warm hospitality that is the trademark of the innkeepers themselves.
Guests may relax and mingle in front of the inviting brick fireplace in the living room, on the covered front porch or on the back patio deck surrounded by flowers.
In the evening there is a hosted social hour where guests are invited to meet and enjoy wine and beverages. Fresh flowers and a decanter of sherry welcome you in all guest rooms.
The Inn's beautiful rooms are individually decorated and comfortably furnished. Many rooms have hardwood floors with Oriental rugs. All rooms have telephones, cable TV's, radio alarm clocks, and private baths, some with whirlpool tubs.
The Old Yacht Club House offers four sunny guest rooms upstairs plus the Captain's Corner Room downstairs with its own private deck. The Hitchcock House offers guest rooms on the ground level with private entrances.
These rooms are named after the Innkeeper's families and are highlighted with historic photos and memorabilia. Certain rooms also offer fireplaces, private balconies, and/or high-speed Internet access.
