The Saratoga Rose Inn & Restaurant, a magnificent 1885 Queen Anne Victorian, became a Saratoga Bed & Breakfast in 1988.
The Inn's restaurant, offering the finest in contemporary cuisine, is open to guests and the general public, and seats 90 in the four Victorian dining rooms. During the warmer months dining is also offered on the lantern-lit veranda.
The Victorian Gardens, planted in 1996, offer a tranquil retreat for the guests of the Saratoga Rose.
After boating on Lake George, or antiquing in Saratoga Springs, select a shaded bench amid the ferns, flowering shrubs, and two koi ponds, or in the gazebo for a quiet afternoon of reading or conversation.
The gardens have been the setting for many Saratoga weddings.
The Inn has six bedrooms: four are in the mansion, each of which is designed in Victorian style; and two are in the adjacent Carriage House: The Adirondack Room which is outfitted as an Adirondack cabin, with log walls and a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, and the Colorado Room which features rustic pine furnishings and décor collected by the Innkeepers when they lived "out West.
" While each room is unique, all rooms have fireplaces, AC and private baths. Four have hot tubs -2 indoor and 2 outdoors - each private to the room.
