Originally built in 1843, the Mendon Country Inn has a colorful history of stagecoach, train, and car travelers. The inn was rebuilt in 1873 using St. Joseph River clay bricks fired on the property.

The interiors are designed in the grand style so popular during the post-Civil War era and include eight foot windows, high ceilings, fan lights, and spacious rooms throughout the building, which complement the winding walnut spiral staircase in the lobby.

Guests can come and enjoy the delights of the wonderful rural area, set in large Amish community as well as along the pristine St. Joseph River.

Guests will wake up in the morning to a wonderful gourmet breakfast, served buffet style, on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

After the meal, guests are welcome to stroll through the inn's grounds, take a peaceful walk in the gardens for some fresh air, or just relax on the outdoor sundeck with a good book and a cool drink.

Take a relaxing soak in the hot tub or mingle with friends in the common sitting room. Whatever guests choose to do, they will be satisfied and plenty happy to be at The Mendon Country Inn.

The Mendon Country Inn offers many rooms with private baths and all are named and decorated accordingly to its atmosphere. All rooms have comfortable, cozy beds and most have fireplaces.

Each fantastic room comes with air conditioning, alarm clock radio, ceiling fan, daily newspaper, and sweets at turndown. Some rooms come with a desk, shower massage, and a coffeemaker with complimentary coffee to help wake up in the morning.

Guests will fall in love with these rooms the moment they see them.
